Heidi Leitner was born in Bressanone (I) in 1968. <\/strong>She works as a sculptor in South Tyrol with a special passion for wood.<\/p>\n

She completed her wood sculptor training in traditional and renowned South Tyrolean statuary institutions with distinction. Her artistic expression has been awarded several jury and audience prizes on various symposia and competitions in Italy, Austria, France, the US, et.al. where she produced wood, stone and ice sculptures. Heidi Leitner\u2019s oeuvre is characterised by a broad form and theme spectrum, but reveals a common denominator. For the artist each of her works represents a detailed and refined manifestation of a very specific observation. She attempts to draw her audience\u2019s attention to little breaks and disruptions within an otherwise even-seeming structure. The artistic aim manifests itself in constructing a fictive space in which the artist and her audience meet to discuss the objects and motifs represented.<\/p>\n
